England vs Croatia: Rio Ferdinand hands Southgate names of players to start Euro 2021 tie

Former England international, Rio Ferdinand has handed manager, Gareth Southgate names of players to start for the Three Lions against Croatia on Sunday afternoon.

England will tackle Croatia today in their Group D Euro 2020 opener at Wembley.

Asked for his preferred England starting XI for the Croatia game, Ferdinand was quoted by Metro UK as saying: “On the right-hand side of the back three I would play Kyle Walker, on the left I would play Luke Shaw, central, I would play John Stones,’ he told Metro.co.uk.

“Right wing-back: Reece James, midfield: Mason Mount and Declan Rice, left side: Ben Chilwell.

“And then I would play two No.10s inside, I am not playing them wide, two narrow No.10s: Grealish and Foden, stroke Sterling, maybe one of those, I’m undecided, and then I would play Kane up top.

The kick-off time for England vs Croatia is 8 pm.
