Chelsea confirm first pre-season friendly

Premier League club Chelsea will face Peterborough United on Saturday for their first pre-season friendly ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The match will likely be played at Cobham, the Blues’ training ground, behind closed doors.

The game will be Chelsea’s first match since their Champions League triumph against Manchester City in May.

Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, will be without his players who participated at the recently concluded Euro 2020 and Copa America.

Tuchel will still have 29 players to choose from in the Blues squad.

Tuchel’s men will subsequently face Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur on August 1 and 4, respectively.
