Mourinho’s Roma suffer 6-1 defeat to Bodo/Glimt

Jose Mourinho suffered one of the most embarrassing defeats in his managerial career, as Roma were demolished 6-1 by minnows Bodo/Glimt in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.

The Serie A came into the game looking to extend their 100% start in Group C.

However, Mourinho’s much-changed side were embarrassed on the artificial surface at Aspmyra Stadion in Norway.

Erik Botheim and Patrick Berg put the hosts two goals up inside 20 minutes.

Carles Perez pulled one back, but Roma imploded after the break.

Botheim’s second restored Bodo/Glimt’s two-goal advantage and before Ola Solbakken netted a brace, either side of Amahl Pellegrino’s strike.

This is the first time a Mourinho side has conceded six times for the first time in the Portuguese’s illustrious 1,008-game managerial career.
