TCB Premiere: Curtis Grimes “The Ground She Walked On”

Texas-born singer/song-writer Curtis Grimes is gearing up to release his new self-titled studio album on July 30. To date, five singles from the new project have been released, earning praise from listeners and snagging the #1 spot on the Texas Regional Radio Chart. The album has consistently been top 10 on iTunes pre-orders in its respected genre. In this TCB Exclusive, we debut the faith based track “The Ground She Walked On.” This song was penned by Jess Brown (ASCAP) and Phillip Coleman (SESAC).

“I have wanted to record this song for several years and finally had the opportunity to do so,” Curtis shared about the heart behind this new song. “I have always been drawn towards the more sad, traditional country songs that Vern Gosdin and Keith Whitley would record. This song had that positive faith based element weaved throughout it and it really fit the style of music I am wanting to do these days.”

It is no secret that Grimes is an intensely devout man of faith who credits God for the whole of his success both as a country music artist and a human being. His passion to spread the gospel doesn’t stop with his music; rather his music is often the vehicle. Grimes founded his own Ten Finger Ministry in 2017 named in honor of his grandfather. Through this ministry, Grimes distributes bibles at all of his live performances. His abiding dedication to his music, his family and his work for the Lord is a constant source of inspiration, and Grimes is incredibly humbled to be shooting a segment on The 700 Club this year, the flagship television program of the Christian Broadcasting Network.
