Chelsea offer Alonso, cash to Inter Milan in exchange for Lukaku

Chelsea have offered Marcos Alonso plus €100million to Inter Milan in a bid to sign their striker, Romelu Lukaku.

But Inter Milan, however, swiftly rejected Chelsea’s proposal.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea have made it clear they would be prepared to part with €100m plus Alonso in order to bring their former player Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge, but their attempts to reach an agreement with Inter have so far been unsuccessful.

The report added that the Blues could return with a follow-up offer for Lukaku.

However, it would be left up to the Belgium international to decide his future if Inter Milan’s demands are met before the transfer window closes later this month.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan CEO, Beppe Marotta, had said last week that Lukaku was not for sale.

Moratta said, “From our side, we can yes absolutely, Lukaku is not for sale.

“Lukaku is an important piece on the chessboard available to Simone Inzaghi [Inter manager].”
