SCRIPTURE: The thing which I greatly fear is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come to me. Job 3:25
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To surrender to fear is to surrender to torments.
It is very important to know that the strength of the devil is not in his power; the strength of the devil is in his devices, his traps, his wiles (2 Corinthians 2:11).
One of the traps or devices of the enemy which he uses to introduce destruction is fear.
Many times, when someone hears about people who are afflicted, there is a tendency for satan to inject fear into them. Suddenly, the person may hear a voice, “Are you sure you are not the next to be afflicted? You shall also be afflicted”

Job 3:25 says:
The thing which I greatly fear is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come to me.
So, fear is a magnet of destruction. Fear attracts destruction.
At times, the devil can give you a dream in the night and use that dream to frighten you.
Sometime ago, someone sent me a text message of a dream he had. In that dream, he was traveling and had an accident and died. This is a trick of the devil. How can you be dead and you are still aware? So, the devil can show a person this kind of negative revelation with the sole intention to introduce fear. And when fear has matured, disaster and calamity arrive.
Fear invites torment (1 John 4:18). To surrender to fear is to surrender to torments. If the devil plans to torment a person, he will introduce fear into his life.
Beloved, you must make up your mind to deal with any form of fear in your life. You should never allow fear to thrive in your life. Deal with fear using Scriptural revelations.
REMEMBER THIS: To surrender to fear is to surrender to torments.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Refuse to give in to fear.
- Suffocate your fear and build your faith with the Word of God.
PRAYER: Lord, I refuse to give in to fear and its torments. I receive the grace to suffocate my fear and build my faith with Your Word, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

REFLECTION: A major key to the destruction of fear is the Presence of God. Nearness to God equals distance from fear (Psalm 23:4). And distance from God equals nearness to fear. It is one choice.
