Frank Edwards, the award-winning gospel singer, says Nigerians are now being influenced by realities ahead of the 2023 general election.

Next year, Nigerians will elect President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor.

Candidates leading the race for the position include Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP).

The forthcoming general election has continued to dominate discussions on social media platforms with Nigerians urged to vote for competent candidates.

Joining the conversation, Edwards said the country is in a critical condition ahead of the election.

The gospel musician also said it is good that many Nigerians now see beyond religious and ethnic sentiments in deciding who to vote.

Edwards added that the electorate are now being influenced by their sufferings

“This election is not about who is healthy and who is not, anyone can get good medical attention, not about tribe, not about who’s turn it is!! We just want who is not a thief!! We are in a critical condition,” he wrote.

“The Good thing is Nigerians eyes are open now… these are not the days when one influencer can make people vote for just anyone. People are now influenced by their sufferings.”
