Transfer: Real Madrid to announce first summer signing

Real Madrid are set to announce their first signing of the summer ahead of next season.

According to Spanish publication, AS, Real Madrid are set to make the announcement of completing a move for David Alaba in the next few days.

The Los Blancos have already reached an agreement with Alaba that will keep him in Spain until the summer of 2026.

The LaLiga giants will complete Alaba’s unveiling in the summer transfer window after the UEFA Euro 2020 in July.

Alaba, who is leaving Bayern Munich as a free agent, won the Bundesliga title with the German giants this season.

The Austrian international made 431 appearances for Bayern, scoring 33 goals and registering 55 assists after over a decade at Allianz Arena.

Real Madrid could possibly be signing Alaba in a bid to replace either Sergio Ramos or Raphael Varane, with both the players being linked with summer exits.
