TOPIC: Decision – A Key To Destiny (Seeds Of Destiny 5 November 2021)

Your decision determines what you will become in life.

SCRIPTURE: And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? 1 Samuel 17:26.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your decision determines what you will become in life.

Decision is a major factor that is critical to life and destiny fulfilment. The decision you take in life determines your destiny and destination. Quality decisions lead to quality destiny.

From our anchor Scripture, we see how decision can change a person’s destiny. David took the decision to confront and defeat Goliath while others were running away in cowardice.

David asked “What shall be done for the man that killed this uncircumcised Philistine and take away the reproach from Israel. For who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defile the armies of the living God?”

When his elder brothers heard him, they said, “David, this naughty boy, what are you doing here?” Then David said, “What have I done? Is there not a cause? Can’t you see the reason why this man should be taken down? Someone is insulting God and you are saying I should keep quiet? Can’t you reason?” 1Samuel 17:29 (paraphrased)

David went ahead to confront and conquer Goliath. That decision placed his name in the archives of time and of eternity such that when the women began to sing, they said, “Saul slew his thousands and David his ten thousands”. Heaven recognized the decision David took.

Beloved, your decision determines what you will become in life. Your decision determines your outcome in life. Exploits in life are a product of quality decisions.

Now, the opposite is true. Indecision is a major reason for mediocrity. Indecision is a reason for stagnancy in life.

My counsel is, make up your mind to make quality decisions in order to maximize your life and destiny.
