Madison Square Garden was shaking on Wednesday night.

It almost felt like an earthquake late in the game. It was out of a movie. The Knicks won a thrilling game to even the series at one and send it back to Atlanta. What an unbelievable atmosphere at the World’s Most Famous Arena.

To talk about that and the first two games, we bring you a new episode of the “Big Apple Buckets” podcast with Sal Licata, Jerome “The Junk Yard Dog” Williams and I, featuring an interview with Knicks super fan Anthony Donahue.

Big Apple Buckets Podcast with Sal, JYD & Jake:

  • MSG ATMOSPHERE: JYD gives the player perspective playing at The Garden. I explain what it was like being there for Games 1 and 2 and how the place was shaking.
  • STOPPING TRAE YOUNG: What kind of schemes were the Knicks using in Game 2 to try and contain him? Did they do a good enough job? Sal did not love the “F— Trae Young” chants and felt that fueled him to play better.
  • UNSUNG HEROES: Reggie Bullock’s 3s were pivotal. Derrick Rose carried them in Game 2. Julius Randle has got to step up in Game 3 in Atlanta. How will the Knicks do with a less crazy atmosphere in Games 3 and 4?
