TOPIC: The Word Became Flesh [Open Heaven for Teens 25 December 2021]

MEMORISE: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

READ: Isaiah 9:6-7 (KJV)

  1. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
  2. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Haggai 1-2 , Revelation 16:1-21

MESSAGE:

Jesus Christ is celebrated throughout the world today by those who know Him as well as those who don’t. When man lost the original relationship with God through sin in the Garden of Eden, Jesus decided to leave His glory to come die for mankind in order to restore our relationship with the Father. He was born of the Virgin Mary so as to take the form of a man who could be touched with the feelings of humanity.

When Jesus was here on earth, He had an outflow of love and compassion for all men, women and children; He was hungry after fasting and praying, was tired, fed the hungry with the word of God and physical food, healed the sick, raised the dead, delivered the demon-possessed, paid tax, and showed the blueprint for others to follow. He didn’t condemn anyone, rather, He showed them the right way to live. Thus, if you have not accepted Jesus as your Saviour, celebrating Him does not make sense. First, acknowledge that you are a sinner, confess your sins and repent today. After this, read the Bible and follow every instruction in it.

ACTION POINT:

Don’t celebrate Christmas without Christ in your life.

HYMN: What Can Wash Away My Stain?

  1. What can wash away my stain?
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
    What can make me whole again?
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Chorus:
Oh! precious is the flow,
That makes me white as snow!
No other fount I know;
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

  1. For my cleansing this I see?
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
    For my pardon, this my plea ?
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
  2. Nothing can for sin atone,
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
    Naught of good that I have done;
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
  3. This is all my hope and peace,
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
    This is all my righteousness,
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
