- And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.
- And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
- And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
- And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

MESSAGE:
Jesus started the idea of the home church while on earth. In today’s Bible reading, we saw what happened while He was preaching in someone’s house. Four men brought a man who was sick of the palsy but could not gain entrance due to the crowd. Instead of being discouraged, they removed the roof and dropped the sick guy at Jesus’ feet. If they had done so in your local church, what do you think people would have done to them? By healing their friend, Jesus simply showed us that God’s power can operate anywhere. It also shows that a house is good for a church.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God started as a home church in the 1950s. Although it has grown and is still growing, the home church still exists as a House fellowship. The house fellowship gives room for people to have fellowship in small groups. The word of God is taught and the needs of people are met. I will advise that you join a house fellowship today or encourage your parents to begin one in your house because Satan can never penetrate into a house where God is praised.
