- And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
- But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;
- There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
- And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
- And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.
- And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.

MESSAGE:
Joseph was bought as a slave by an officer of Pharaoh, Potiphar who entrusted him with all he had except his wife. Joseph was a handsome teenager who prospered in everything due to the manifest presence of God in Him. Potiphar’s wife was older but kept making advances towards Joseph to become his Sugar mummy. Mr. Potiphar was so trusting of Joseph that He never suspected anything but Joseph was a sharp guy, he knew that God was watching and he would be offending if he succumbed to his masters wife. She must have even promised him freedom from slavery in order to lure him but Joseph was sharper than that. He understood that there is no true freedom outside God. I carefully picked the word ‘sharp’ because boys usually think they are sharp when they conquer a woman. Joseph was indeed a conqueror; he conquered Satan and his emotions.
If a girl, lady or married woman is trying to seduce you through gifts, promises or indecent dressing, my son, run because if you commit fornication, your destiny will be reduced to a piece of bread for the dogs to feed on.
