READ: John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Chronicles 20-22, John 16:1-33

MESSAGE:

Giving is not difficult as some think. When you give, you act as your Heavenly Father who has freely given us many blessings – the gift of life, good health, salvation, provision, security, sound memory, functioning body parts, et cetera.

Many teenagers like to be on the receiving end; they keep asking to get whatever they need. They make no effort to give at all, forgetting that those who give will never lack any good thing. If you think you don’t have anything to give, sit and figure out what you’re spending your pocket money on. If they are not important, scrap them and save so that you will have something to give to others in need or Gods work.

There was a time I gave out a few of my ties. Before I knew it, I received many new ties in return. When I gave out shoes, I was given many pairs of beautiful new ones. You will always reap what you sow. When next you’re wishing someone close to you a happy birthday, make sure you get him or her a gift, no matter how small.

KEY POINT:

Whatever leaves your hand will never leave your life. Give and you will receive.

HYMN 7: Christian Seek Not Yet Repose

  1. Christian, seek not yet repose,
    Hear thy guardian angel say,
    “Thou art in the midst of foes:
    Watch and pray!
  2. Principalities and powers,
    Mustering their unseen array,
    Wait for thine unguarded hours:
    “Watch and pray!
  3. Gird thy heavenly armour on,
    Wear it every night and day,
    Ambushed lies the evil one:
    “Watch and pray!
  4. Hear the victors who overcame;
    Still they mark each warrior’s way,
    All with one sweet voice exclaim,
    “Watch and pray!
  5. Hear, above all, hear thy Lord,
    Him thou lovest to obey;
    Hide within thy heart His word,
    “Watch and pray!
  6. Watch, as if on that alone
    Hung the issue of the day;
    Pray, that help may be sent down:
    “Watch and pray!”
