MESSAGE:

You may be wondering if I celebrate Valentines Day. Well, I do. Actually, I celebrate it every day because it is associated with love. Love is the true essence of our message as Christians and if you don’t show love to people around you, your salvation is questionable.Though Valentines Day is usually associated with romantic love (which should be expressed by married couples only),

I encourage you to express the God-kind of love today by giving good gifts to your friends, family, teachers and the needy around you. I always use this as an opportunity to give special gifts to my husband, children and grandchildren, encouraging them to do likewise. Also, a lot of teenagers experience loneliness or anger because they don’t have a boyfriend/girlfriend to share romantic love with. This is against the word of God. It’s time to do away with that feeling of inadequacy or infatuation and wrong perception of love painted on social and other media. Jesus is the true definition of love and He loves you. Concentrate on loving Him back and don’t get carried away by infatuations.

ACTION POINT:
Give a material gift to someone today and let it stop there (lol).

HYMN: ‘TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS

  1. Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
    Just to take him at his word;
    Just to rest upon His promise,
    Just to know, “Thus saith the Lord.

CHORUS
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved him o’er and o’er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust him more!

  1. O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
    Just to trust His cleansing blood;
    Just in simple faith to plunge me
    ’Neath the healing, cleansing flood!
  2. Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
    just from sin and self to cease;
    just from Jesus simply taking
    life and rest, and joy and peace.
  3. I’m so glad I learn’d to trust Thee,
    Precious Jesus, Saviour, Friend,
    And I know that Thou art with me,
    Wilt be with me to the end.
