TOPIC: What’s Your Price? [Open Heaven for Teens 12 December 2021]

MEMORISE: But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 1 Peter 2:9

READ: 1 Peter 1:18

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Hosea 12-14 , Revelation 3:1-22

MESSAGE:

As a child of God, you are so valuable that silver and gold cannot buy you. It took the precious blood of Jesus to purchase you and make you royalty in God’s kingdom. Every part of Jesus body was tortured and bruised for your sake. If you’re that valuable to God, don’t sell yourself cheap. If someone approaches you with the intention of selling a brand new android phone for N10,000 naira ($20), what would be your response? If you have a sense of value, you won’t bat an eyelid because you would know it’s a stolen phone.

You are so precious to God that He calls you His chosen priest and peculiar fellow; you are also the temple of the living God because apart from dwelling in heaven, the next place He decided to dwell in is inside you. My dear daughter/son, your price is very expensive and all the wealth in the world cannot buy you, so, don’t allow yourself to be tempted by adulterous men or women who want to exchange your destiny for cash, bank alerts or gifts.

KEY POINT

There is no justifiable reason for prostitution.

HYMN: Amazing Grace

  1. Amazing grace!
    how sweet the sound!
    That saved a wretch like me;
    I once was lost,
    but now am found,
    was blind, but now I see.
  2. ‘Twas grace that taught
    my heart to fear,
    And grace my fears relieved;
    How precious did that grace appear
    The hour I first believed!
  3. Through many dangers,
    toils and snares
    I have already come;
    ‘Tis grace that brought
    me safe thus far,
    And grace will lead me home.
  4. Yes, when this heart and flesh
    shall fail,
    And mortal life shall cease,
    I shall possess within the veil,
