TOPIC: His Blood Speaks Better Things (Rhapsody of Realities 26 May 2021)

SCRIPTURE: And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel (Hebrews 12:24).

In 1 Corinthians 11:25, the Bible says Jesus took “…the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.”

His blood represents His life. He gave His life for you that you may live. The Bible says we weren’t redeemed with silver or gold or precious stones but with the blood, the precious blood of Jesus Christ, Son of the living God (1 Peter 1:18-19). His blood is your true value; and His blood speaks! It speaks blessings in your behalf.

His blood speaks your righteousness, justification, victory, prosperity and divine protection. You’re not left to the dictates and mercy of the adversary or the dominion of sin. You’re purified and preserved by His blood. The Bible says, “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us” (Hebrews 9:12).

Thank God for the blood of Jesus Christ! It speaks your salvation. Hallelujah! The Bible says He was made sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus didn’t just save you from sin; He gave you His life and nature. Today, sin, its effects and consequences have no dominion over you. You’re free to serve the Lord and live for Him.

Before Jesus came, there were sacrifices and offerings for the atonement of sins in the Old Testament. This involved the killing of animals, several bulls and goats. But the Bible says in Hebrews 10:4, “For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.”
Jesus Christ, with one sacrifice, has PERFECTED FOREVER all those who are called in Him.

He offered Himself once, for the total blotting away, the removal of sins (Hebrews 9:14). He purged our sins by His own blood: “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3).

CONFESSION

Dear Father, I thank you for the blood of Jesus that gave me remission, justification, redemption, access, fellowship, cleansing and the blessings of the New Testament. I walk in the finished works of Christ, and the glory that His death, burial, and resurrection wrought for me. Blessed be your Name forever.

FURTHER STUDY

Hebrews 9:13-15; 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Hebrews 10:1-7; 1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
