Transfer: Giroud welcome to join me at AC Milan – Ibrahimovic

AC Milan striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has welcomed Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud to San Siro.

Giroud is set to leave Chelsea at the end of this month when his contract expires.

AC Milan is among the top European clubs who have registered their interest in signing the France international from Chelsea.

Inter Milan and AS Roma have also been linked with a move to sign Giroud in this summer transfer window.

But Ibrahimovic, who returned to Milan in 2019, is keen to see the Serie A giants complete a deal for the 34-year-old this summer.

“The more high-level players we can sign, the better,” Ibrahimovic told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud’s new club revealed

“Giroud has great experience and we don’t have many players who have won trophies.

“If he comes, he’s welcome. Also, because this is a very helpful group, willing to learn and improve, a well-guided group.

“Am I selfish? I have to be, there are many kings, but there is only one god and that’s me. But without my team-mates, I don’t go anywhere and I know it.

“Football made me meet people, travel, and experience different cultures. It gave me the life I’ve. What did I give? The most complete striker in the world.”
